摘要：很多人關注雅思詞匯量的問題，那么雅思學習需要多少詞匯呢?總起來說，雅思有別于TOEFL、CET4、CET6等其他考試，需要掌握的單詞很難量化，如果要拿高分，何止是要掌握8000啊，1萬都不行，不過要是只需要過6分，掌握5500個單詞以上已經足夠了。

雅思考試聽力部分選用的文章都來自英語國家的日常生活，因此并沒有絕對的詞匯數字，盡管沒有絕對的單詞總數設定，但單詞量絕對不是最大的問題，只要掌握3000個關鍵詞匯，就可以應對考卷的大部分內容。不過對于這3000個詞匯的掌握，不僅僅是聽說讀寫，更重要的是知道怎樣去掌握和使用它們(active words)，熟練掌握3000個詞匯可能比簡單背誦10000個單詞更有用。

雅思聽力section 2 中經常會考到一些社會事件，比如說會議、展覽、節日等。參加這些社會活動就需要通過網站、單頁、通知版、廣告等來了解活動的信息、日程安排、主題等詳細信息。一些大型會議和活動學生是可以選擇參加的，而且還提供住宿和餐飲，一切都只需要在注冊的時候聲明并且繳納相應的費用即可。

這類單詞肯定是大家感覺到比較專業和難于掌握的，并不是需要學員們全部記憶下來，但起碼要做到對發音和中文意思比較敏感，這樣才會對全文的聽力內容有一個較好的把握。否則就好像是聽到了科普類文章一樣，茫然不知所措，進而導致完全放棄。

這個場景主要是購物或者租房子后發現有一些這樣那樣的問題，物體的型號、主要的問題、需要什么時間來修理、有沒有質保、替換還是退款等都會是很重要的考點。雅思聽力還是非常實用的，能讓我們提前預習到在國外會碰到的場景，幫我們了解外國人處理一些事情的流程和規則。

飲食和健康不但是現在人們越來越關心的問題，也會是雅思聽力考試中永恒不變的主題。在Section 4 中經常出現關于健康飲食和生活方式的探討。與此同時，聽力中關于一些疾病的原因和治療也都跟此有著密切的聯系。我想Heart disease, chronic illness, diabetes, obesity，high blood pressure等疾病大家已經并不陌生了。

這個場景每年都會進行幾次考查，重點要明確各種關于醫生、治療、疾病、藥物、手術、醫院的英文表達方式，以及弄清楚西方國家的醫療體系和看病流程。比如說family doctor這個概念在中國幾乎是不存在的，但是在西方的社區里非常普遍。怎樣注冊一個家庭醫生，他們看病怎樣收費等都是我們應該去了解的。在國外某些地區，如果沒有注冊家庭醫生，很可能出現一些急癥沒有醫生來看的情況。
