有的學生對劍6的某些標題仍困惑不解，所以這里應學生請求對某幾道題答疑。

test4/14-18是一組有選項的summary。首先，要懂得這種標題的特色：同義變換的水平很大，大到有時要填的那個選項在文章基本找不到同義詞或近義詞，而是須要看懂某些語句的意思才干做對，所以難度還是很大。

我在課堂上主意學生可以通過語法和詞匯知道先猜一下哪幾個答案可能準確，然后再聯合文章中的內容答題，這樣后果和準確率很高很多。那么下面我們就按這方式過一遍。

　　首先，１４題。
　　The Nicaraguan National Literacy Crusade aimed to teach large numbers of illiterate ____ to read and write.
　　很顯明，空格里應當填的是人，所以答案只有兩個可能的：B. men and women 和 G. adults and children

　　15題。
　　Public health experts have known for many years that there is a connection between child health and _____.
　　很顯明，空格內填和child health有關的因素，所以答案集中在： A. child literacy（這個是保守猜法，其實這個答案是很容易消除的）；F. maternal literacy; H paternal literacy（我們不能重女輕男是吧，這個答案理論上也是可能的，但是等會看了文章后，輕易的也能消除）；J. family wealth（錢還是很主要的，所以這個選項也有可能）

　　16題。
　　However, it has not previously been known whether these two factors were directly linked or not. This question has been investigated by _____ in Nicaragua.
　　這題猜起來也很容易，確定是某位專家或組織，所以答案集中在C. an international research team和I. a National Literacy Crusade

　　17題。
　　As a result, factors such as _____ and attitudes to children have been eliminated,
　　此題意思大致為，經過調查，發明哪些因素（與child health）已經消除了。這題猜起來似乎范疇有點大，重要有這么幾個：A. child literacy; D. medical care ; F. maternal literacy; H. paternal literacy（這個答案其實是不可能的，因為這里在研討的問題是child health和literate mothers之間到底有沒有接洽，和父親是沒有任何關系的，所以程度高的人直接可以把這個答案消除）； J. family wealth。雖然乍看之下，感到猜了沒有意義，其實，看了這幾個選項，可以對答案的大致方向有個概念了，等會定位就容易了。

　　18題。
　　and it has been shown that ______ can in itself improve infant health and survival.
　　此題選項范疇和17題大致雷同，因為現在看下來，確定是這幾個選項內有的和child health有接洽，有的沒有接洽。in other words，17和18是同一屋檐下的。

　　好了，猜完了，我們可以開端依據要害詞以及句子的大致意思開端定位了。

　　14 題比擬容易，因為有Nicaraguan National Literacy Crusade，所以定位在P90第一段第一行開端到第三行，其中…For those women who learnt to read through the campaign,…可以看出，只能選B

　　15題也不難，依據次序原則往下找，發明第一段的最后一句話，或者第二段的第一句話都說的很顯明，…newly-literate mothers…所以答案是F
　　16 題也很容易，依據次序原則往下找，第二段第2行到第4行，其中有… so he and his colleagues are looking at other factors。he 這里指的是上文中的Peter Sandifor of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine,所以答案只能選C

　　17題有些難，乍看之下似乎難以定位。這題充足反應了學生的liguistic sensibility（對語言的敏感度，到達必定的程度才有此境界）。重要看第2段的第四行開端，They are working with the same group of 3,000 women, to try to find out whether reading mohters make better use of hospitals and clinics, opt for smaller families, exert more conrol at home, learn modern childcare techniques more quickly, or whether they merely have more respect for themselves and their children.其實黑體部分就是研討人員感到可能的因素，那么哪個因素沒有提及呢？！換句話說，選項里沒有提及的那個就是已經被eliminated 的因素，所以答案選的是J

　　最后18題。
　　這題其實也不難，第3段，第2行開端，Sandifor says that there is increasing evidence that female education, at any age, is 'an important health intervention in its own right.'所以答案選F
　　注意，在instructions里標題已經明白指出，NB you may use any letter more than once。一般這就闡明，必定有個答案會應用兩次。
