It is well known that there is a definite link between smoking and bronchial troubles, heart diseases and lung cancer.

According to a WHO survey, the life expectancy of smokers is 10 to 15 years shorter than that of nonsmokers. It has been confirmed that even if we don’t smoke, our health would be undermined just the same if we work or live in a surrounding where others smoke.
It must be borne in mind that smoking is a health hazard which affects not only the smoker himself, but also all the people around him.

While the tax is collected in vast sum, much larger amounts are spent on cancer research and on effort to cure patients.

You do not have to look very far to find out why the official reactions to medical findings have not been enthusiastic. The answer is simply money. As a wonderful commodity to tax, tobacco means billions of dollars to governments. Therefore, while pointing out that smoking may be harmful, the authorities do not shout too loudly about it.
Prohibit
There is no denying that tobacco gives a sense of pleasure to its users, and there is little point in suppressing such comforting feelings.
