to stress. "Meditationand yoga enable you to shift the way that your brain reacts, so if you getproficient at it you're in control.
F The Australian vice-president of AT Keamey, Neil Plumridge, says:"Often stress is caused by our setting unrealistic expectations ofourselves. I'll promise a client I'll do something tomorrow, and then [promise]another client the same thing, when I really know it's not going to happen.I've put stress on myself when I could have said to the clients: ’Why don't Igive that to you in 48 hours?' The client doesn't care." Overcommitting issomething people experience as an individual problem. We explain it as theresult of procrastination or Parkinson's law: that work expands to fill thetime available. New research indicates that people may be hard-wired to do it.
G A study in the Februaryissue of the Journal of Experimental Psychology shows that people alwaysbelieve they will be less busy in the future than now. This is amisapprehension, according to the authors of the report, Professor GalZauberman, of the University of North Carolina, and Professor John Lynch, ofDuke University. "On average, an individual will be just as busy two weeksor a month from now as he or she is today. But that is not how it appears to bein everyday life," they wrote. "People often make commitments long inadvance that they would never make if the same commitments required immediateaction. That is, they discount future time investments relativelysteeply." Why do we perceive a greater "surplus" of time in thefuture than in the present? The researchers suggest that people underestimatecompletion times for tasks stretching into the future, and that they are bad atimagining future competition for their time.

Describe a long car journey
You should say:
l When and where you went
l Who you went with
l What you saw
l Why you went there by car
Speakingof a long car journey, I’d like to say something about aholiday I took during the October break. Every first week in October is thegolden peak time for traveling industry so instead of going to the touristsattractions with loads of people, our family decided to take a journey by carto Inner Mongolia, which is famous for its wildness.
My fatheris an experienced driver while I just got my driving license six months ago. Myfather agreed to share the driving with me since it was a long trip. At thebeginning, what we saw was just ordinary city views. However, after we had goneout of town, what greeted our eyes were lush forests, magnificent mountains and reflecting lakes with ripples.
Thereason why we chose car journey over public transportation was that we wantedto go to fairly remote areas which are not accessible by trains or planes. Roadtrip offers you a chance to explore at your own pace. We stopped whenever wewanted to take photos of picturesque views. Apart from that it was a wonderfulbonding activity for families as we spent long hours together, talking andlaughing.
