Khalil Gibran, author of 'The Prophet,' and another significant Arab-American literary figure, provided illustrations for 'The Book of Khalid.'
Ameen Rihani's "The Book of Khalid" was published in 1911, but the issues it explores are still timely, says May Rihani, an Arab American poet and the author's niece.
